Sometimes, a fluid-filled sac called cyst will develop on one of the ovaries. Many women will develop at least one cyst during their lifetime. In most cases, cysts are painless and cause no symptoms.

Types of ovarian cysts: there are various types of ovarian cysts such as dermoid cysts, Endometrioma cysts, and follicular cysts. According to their appearances on Ultrasound, we can predict if it's benign or malignant. Most ovarian cysts are benign.

Symptoms include : bloating, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, lower back pain, and nausea.

During the consultation with the doctor, physical examination and ultrasoud scan will be performed. A blood test could be done if necessary, to detect ovarian cancer ( tumor marker).
